Since I don't have enough financial resources (pension, investments, etc.) to allow me to retire, I need to have an income just to take care of the basics in my life. However, I did have access to a computer and the internet and I had a website.

Once I checked out one internet business opportunity site, I received many emails about running internet businesses. Inocently, I decided to check some of them out. Wow! The useless emails about schemes that implied that the system or ebook or course offered could make me a millionaire overnight just poured into my inbox. I couldn't get time to read them all.

Some of them offered ways to pull to my site millions of visitors, guaranteed targeted customers, instant buyers, and thousands of signups every day. Some assured me that their product would tell me the secrets that the internet marketing gurus didn't want me to know; their product would cut through the BS and set me on the path of TRUTH to Financial Freedom.

Well, I must say that I tried several of the more sane and practical sounding ones. Ouch! I began to feel like a baby taking its first steps because that was exactly what I was. I was an internet business baby.

So how do I distinguish between the phonies and the people who are really trying to help others succeed? How do I sift through the avalance of material to find the real altruistic players in the internet marketing game; those men and women who are willing to take a chance on me and help me get started without it costing me money I don't have and can't borrow?
